POENITSCH & JAKOPIC formerly known as Blauephase are working as producers, live act and DJ-Team since 1999. They met at a Munich record store, trying to grab the same french house vinyl and ended up working in the studio, merging electronic precision and future disco with rocknroll energy from day one. Their first vinyl release on Partysan Rec. ("Dance", 2000) owed a lot to the iconic group Chic, their debut CD (" Freaks In Munique "/Edel/Media Spirit, 2003) led to rave reviews, a co-op with Munich Legend Harold Faltermeyer and a successful club tour through Germanys leading house clubs in 2004.
Their second electro-pop CD („Discoarzt – The Original Soundtrack Album“/Our Distr.) came out in 2007 on their own label Disco Art Recordings with accompanying vinyl EPs. Volume 1 and 2 entered the German DDC Trendcharts Top 30. POENITSCH & JAKOPIC, while expressing retro-futurism and rockstar attitude, just want to entertain, after all.
From the start, the dj-team threw parties in Munichs best hang outs, mixing vintage vinyls with new electronic files, DJ art with live performance.
Keywords like Munich Sound, labels such as F-Communication, Roulé and Gigolo have a similar status in the POENITSCH & JAKOPIC universe as Munich clubs like Café am Hochhaus, Rote Sonne, Harry Klein and Palais.
New disco-tec-house-tracks with a slight indie-rock or old school twist will be released under the name of POENITSCH & JAKOPIC through Kontor New Media digitally soon.

würde Dich ja zuuu gerne mal wieder in Action erleben, leider befürchte ich, nicht mit meiner gesamten Geburtstagsgesellschaft ins 40seconds gelassen zu werden :-( Ich hoffe, der nächste Gig in Berlin ist schon in Planung.
